The WR-28 Male Ka-band Waveguide-to-Coax End-launch adapter provides a compact, precision transition from WR-28 (26.5 - 40 GHz) rectangular waveguide to a high-frequency female coax interface (commonly 2.92 mm). Its end-launch probe is optimized for minimal discontinuity at the waveguide aperture, delivering, low VSWR, and low insertion loss across E- & W-band. CNC-machined, gold-plated conductors and tight-tolerance alignment features ensure repeatable measurements in mmWave test setups, radar front-ends, 5G/6G research, and satellite communications. Compatible with standard WR-28 flanges (e.g., UG-599/U), it offers robust mechanical stability, broadband performance, and excellent mode purity in a lab-friendly form factor.

Unlike typical commercial end-launch coax-to-waveguide adapters, Raytech’s TRCW-289FEC0 features an end-launch configuration with a floating center-pin design while still providing full Ka-band coverage. This design eliminates the need for a separate DC bias port or external bias-tee, reducing connector count and simplifying overall system architecture while maintaining in-line configuration.
